Afterglow

Alba Ren restores the light that cities
were too quick to throw away.

She teachesGlass toRemember.

Alba Ren has spent eighteen years retrieving signs from condemned theatres, motor courts, diners, and dance halls. She does not modernize them. She listens to the hum of the transformer, reads the soot around a failed electrode, and follows the bends left by another pair of hands. Every repair keeps the hesitation, the odd spacing, the human wobble. Perfection would erase the maker.
